Brae-Miller Linkline
The Brae-Miller Link Line is a gas pipeline that currently connects between the Brae B platform and Miller Platform. This 16-inch pipeline is designed to accept sour gas like Brae and Miller Gas System (MGS) and can be configured to flow in either direction. When configured as a spurline to MGS it has a capacity of 380 mmscfd.
Whilst current connection is platform to platform, there are 12-inch subsea tees on the platform-owned risers at each end. Miller field ceased production in 2007 but a subsea tie-in direct to MGS could be installed to by-pass the Miller Platform. Although preparations are currently underway to decommission the Miller platform, the oil and gas pipelines will be preserved for future opportunities.
If flow were reversed, the options at Brae B are to tie-in to the SAGE system with or without processing and compression at Brae, or to export to one of the linked platforms.
Connected infrastructure that could be used to transport gas onwards to market includes: Miller Gas System 30-inch pipeline and Miller Reception Facilities, Brae Platform and inter-field pipelines, and SAGE 30-inch pipeline and terminal. Further information about the Miller Gas System is available by clicking here. The Brae fields are operated by

Services and Capacity
At 170 bar exit pressure, the Brae-Miller Linkline has capacity of 380 mmscf/d (10.75 MSm3/d). By end 2009, the pipeline will be suspended with no throughput.
Technical Specifications
One subsea tee is provided on each of the Brae B and Miller platform risers: Each tee is sized at 12-inch and is fully rated for sour service with a design pressure of 410 bara.
Entry and Exit Specifications
The Brae-Miller Linkline has no processing facilities. Accordingly the entry/exit specification will be set to match the entry specification of the adjoining infrastructure, which will be one or more of:
· Miller Gas System, or
· Brae B platform, or
· SAGE entry specification
Commercial Terms
Brae-Miller Linkline owners will engage with potential customers and make timely offers of commercial terms in accordance with the Code of Practice on Access to Upstream Oil and Gas Infrastructure on the UK Continental Shelf.
Data Requirements
The following information is required from prospective customers to assess the potential from transportation in the Brae Miller Linkline.
1. Reserves, production profile(s), development programme.
2. Composition, data (including component traces, water content, both typical and maximum values)
3. Outline processing description for hydrocarbons prior to entry into the Brae-Miller Linkline.
4. Tie-in point details
5. Direction of flow proposed
6. Supplementary information (e.g. special requirements)
